Am looking for good info on a model 70 that was passed to me after an unkle passed away. Rifle is at least 90% in my view with NO marks in the wood. The metal bears marks of where the bolt has been cycled many times. Appears to be normal wear. Barrel is stamped 30gov't06. Serial number is 7355-. Yes a five digit, hope that is good. Bluing is great. Is in a "fake" leather case and has no other marks in the stock or metal.
Was sure happy to get it, should be nice at my estate sale

    Hi cubfarm1........welcome to TFF. :)

Your Model 70 was made in 1946.....and yup, that's good. Pre-1964 Winchesters bring a premium over the later ones.

Blue Book value - Model 70 Standard Grade (1946-1963 Production) .30-06:

    95% - $600
    90% - $500
    80% - $450
