My grandfather (from Texas) was a Sergeant in WWI and trained the cannon/artillery crews. This was at a stateside base. Does anyone know what U.S. locations were used to train the cannon/artillery crews for WWI? I always wondered where grandpa was stationed.

    twobit,

You will have much better luck doing a google search for things like: world war I soldier locator

There must be organizations, civilian and government, who have records.

It will take some digging but the information must be on the WWW somewhere.

    Good luck.

Since posting, I have found that Ft.Sill OK was the location where the Army artillery crews were trained for World War ONE. thanks
