This gun is from my Grandpa, a WWII vet. All I know is it is a 16 gauge double barrel break action shotgun. Anything on info/price would be appreciated!! Thanks!
Take the forearm off, and then open it again. The gun should open far enough to come apart. On the bottom of the barrels and on the water table there should be all sorts of neat marks that will help us help you.
Give us some pretty pictures. Notice, on that first one, that all the markings are white. I betcha he dusted it with flour before taking the pic. All the indentations filled up, making it easy to read.
Good shotgun in the best bore by one of the best German makers. No need to speculate on anything else until pictures of the proofs are posted. Just as Alpo told and showed you, they'll be on the water table and the bottoms of the barrels.
No hell, that ain't my gun. Google "shotgun water table", and then hit images. Lots of pix to chose from. That's where I found 'em.
But annotations are simple. Open the picture in MS Paint. You can draw arrows and circle things and put in little blocks of text. It's fairly simple.
