Got the XDm. Not crazy about carrying it due to the double stack. Son has the XDs but in the 3.3. He really enjoys carrying that one. It's a snappy little cus.
Oh yeah. He carries his small of the back in an Alien Gear holster.
Close...mine is a 3.3 9mm. I considered a 45 but eventually decided on more rounds vs larger rounds. I briefly looked at the 4" vs the 3.3" but since I was shopping for a carry gun (and the fact I'm not a large person), I went with the 3.3.
Now the big surprises were it was much more comfortable by a long shot to carry than my other carry gun, an XD sub 40, and I was shooting it as well or better than my XD SC right from the start. As the weeks went by I had neglected my XD SC and was only carrying my XDS. I did not expect to love this gun as much as I do.
For mags, I carry the 7 rd in the gun and a 9 rd in a mag holster.
BTW, I had a hard time parting with my XD SC but I traded it for a XDM 4.5 40. I will get another one some day.
My brother has one, I've shot it, and I like it. That might not be much help. My opinion is that trouble usually travels in gangs these days, more bullets is a plus.
since I'm currently carrying a keltec o3at, a SIG p238 or very occasionally a p230, I'm already stuck at 5-7 rounds, if those 5-7 rnds could be upgraded to 45 from 380, and super slim to carry nearly as easy, that would be an upgrade for me.
I have an XDS with the 3 in barrel. Shoots great, is light and easy to conceal. It is the same size as my wifes XD sub compact 9mm (Black) except hers is a bit wider. I just got mine back fro Springfield due to their re-call. They gave me a 7 round mag for free. Wifes gun has 12 +1 and 16 +1 9mm capacity where I have 5+1 or 7+1 .45's Less capacity but mine is prettier.
wow, thanks, just thicker than a dime... I might have to get me one!
