Just letting everyone know that Xracer passed away this morning. Jim (one of our first members) did an excellent job on this forum since the beginning and will be greatly missed.
Prayers to him and his family.I read this to my family when my Pop passed...
God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be,
so he put his arms around you,
and whispered "Come to me".
With tearful eyes we watched you,
and saw you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly,
we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
I've not been around the forum enough to encounter him, but losing a friend always hurts. Even if all you know them thru is through the net, doesn't make it any less valid..
I didn't get to "speak" to him myself, although I have read some of his posts. My sympathy for the lives he has enriched and enlightened; my sorrow for the lives who didn't get the opportunity. May you rest in peace Xracer... after you clean and oil the guns. :AR15firing:
P.S. I sincerely hope that no one takes offense at the "after you clean and oil the guns" thing. It was meant in the "Old School Shooters" tradition.
I did not know him but I can tell by all the messages that he must have been a great man. My prayers will be to his family in this time of loss. May our loving Father keep His arms around them.
