I had a friend who is not a gun person who had this GP 100. He rarely shot it and didn't really like it, I guess he's not a revolver guy.
He had a chance to buy a like NIB Ruger LC9 with factory laser for $375 and he jumped on it.
He ask me to help him sell his gun to get his money back. I told about selling a gun locally and how there are some good facebook pages to advertise. He wasn't too keen on the idea of doing all of that and having the morons to deal with and meeting someone in a parking lot to sell a gun.
I told him I thought the gun would bring about $475 or maybe more ( I hadn't seen it up close yet so I wasn't sure of condition)
He asked me if I was interested and to avoid all of that hassle of selling, that I could have it for $375 to get his money back on the new gun he spent.
Well, I took him up on it, but I paid him more than he was asking, plus I gave him 2 boxes of 9mm to shoot in his new gun because I knew he didn't have any. I wouldn't normally give more than asking price but I couldn't in this case. I felt like it was not fair to do so. I felt better about it, he was very happy and I have a new Ruger GP 100. It is a 1995 production. It was dirty and has two pin sized pits on the left side. I polished them out somewhat with some Flitz but they are still visible if you look hard.
Anyway, I'm happy and he's happy.
