A person on Fox this morning, supposedly non partisan, said the true unemployment figure is somewhere 23 and 24 million folks. Most not counted because they no longer get any aid.

The figures cited on the link, don't add up. Of course, you already knew that. :)

I don't know that the figures are as high as 23%, but 18 is Certainly in the ball park.

This has been going on for 3-1/2 years. 400k NEW filers EVERY week, and 70,000 get back to work each MONTH!

How in the name of anything Holy does this sound like a good thing?

    :mad::mad::mad:

If we as a country are that stoopid, there is no hope. :(

FDR? I kinda suspected that. How did it work so well for FDR? Obozo is just a poor manager.

He can't run on the economy, he can't run on private sector jobs, now, thanks to Issa, he can't run on the creation of green jobs.

That leaves his military prowess.

A former AG said Wednesday: " putting obama in the role of a great military leader, is like putting Woody Allen in the role of Conan The Barbarian ".

I have to admit he walked in to a mess but he has had almost 4 years. It looks as bad as it was when he came in. Looks as if he is not the man for the job.

Opening the way for the New Deal, President Herbert Hoover was defeated by Franklin D. Roosevelt in the Election of 1932. Hoover, who had been blamed for the stock market crash and the Depression, strongly opposed Roosevelt's New Deal legislation, in which the federal government assumed responsibility for the welfare of the nation by maintaining a high level of economic activity. According to Hoover, Roosevelt had been slow to reveal his New Deal programs during the presidential campaign and worried that the new president would sink the nation into deficit spending to pay for the New Deal. Roosevelt never consulted Hoover, nor did he involve him in government in any way during his presidential term.

Does any of this sound familure?

    Looks as bad?

Not sure what yer looking at, but in my eyes, it's VASTLY worse.

If you take 370,000 (and that's VERY generous) new claims a week for 3-1/2 years, you get 62,160,00 lost jobs since Obie took the reigns. If you use the figures in my original link, we've added 3.8 million. According to my math, we're still 58 MILLION jobs in the hole.

Not to mention that Obie has easily doubled the National debt. :(

The numbers aren't working for a reason.:mad::mad:

Today on Fox, I watched a news clip of him saying " the private sector is doing fine ". To paraphrase the next sentence, he said it's the government jobs across the country that are needing help.

Memory serving, aren't those jobs filled by union folks? He totally ticked them ( unions ) off by blowing by Wisconsin during the recall. He promised the unions when he was running for prez, he would be in blue jeans marching alongside them, hand in hand, if necessary.

He must have had something else to do when they needed him most.

So now he pimping, once again, more gov jobs. I tend to think the reason Romney is beating him to death with the fund raising, is because the unions have adopted the old adage....fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
