looking for info on a Colt Frontier Six Shooter - serial 49480 - i think its a 44 40 and the timing is off on the cylinder . Is it black powder or not and can I find someplace to get it fixed? its probably 80 percent condition wise .

I'm new here and haven't figured out yet how to navigate here. Did you decide if that is a Harder rifle?

Would greatly appreciate Simson pdf, and advice on a period in time when quality was best. Looking for a 20 that feels and handle like a Merkel 147EL for bird hunting and jump shooting ( so must have 76 mm chambers and be able to handle modern, Non-steel migratory loads ).

Hi Bert, I'm new to the forum and would like information in reference to model 71 deluxe. I just picked up a 4-digit ser# in 348. the firearm is stunningly gorgeous. My big question is, have you ever seen or heard of a receiver being factory drilled from Winchester. 2: order this way. 3: sent back to Winchester for this work. I wanted to reach out to you before the Cody Museum. This receiver is drilled and plugged.

I live in Montana, and spend a lot of time in the mountains. I am an avid elk and mule deer hunter and hunt both archery and firearms seasons. I'm retired now so I've been spending even more time in the hills.

Hi Robert,
I just saw the post about your Flobert. If you want to sell, let’s talk. My dad left me one that he pulled from a trash can as a kid about 1936. I want to restore it as it holds much sentimental value.
My thoughts - If I can pick up another reasonably, I’d have a template for stock restoration and parts.
Let me know. Not sure if I can afford it but worth an email!

Cheers,

David Savopoulos

Hi there, I have a question about an Iver Johnson Arms Double Action Revolver that I bought... could you perhaps check which one it is based on the serial number? type 1, 2 or 3 and the year of manufacture?

the serial is 13308 or 1330S ? is it black powder or?

Really need some pictures to tell which model you have. Also need to know if there is a letter prefix to the serial number on the frame under the left grip.

I suggest posting images and the serial number on the forum. You will have several knowledgeable collectors who can provide the information you require.

Hello from Atlantic, Iowa. I too collect weapons from the WW II era. I find those guns have a such a useful elegance about them. At one time I had thought I might like to do some reloading, but my health has turned for the worse thus limiting my hobby, not to mention the sky-rocking prices of these weapons. I did manage to find a few rounds at an auction for my type 99 Arisaki though.
