      Ken,

Could I have your last name? Thank you so much for all of the information, but even more for that, thank you for your service to our country.

Ken, thanks for your kind words! Yes I was with Blue Max from around Feb. 1 '72 until they were stood down and sent home to Ft. Hood around mid-Aug. '72. We lived over at "The Plantation" and then Long Thon -North during the big fight at An Loc. After Max stood down I went up to Pleiku and flew cav. missions in the Gun Platoon with H/17th Cav., that was the re-organized B/7/17th Cav. Chased a scout all over II Corp until early '73 when they sent us home.

"Fast Eddie" Rickenbacker and I were very good friends from Vietnam days until his death a couple of years ago from cancer. I'm still friends with and have contact with his daughter who is career Air Force.

Our Max CO, Larry Mckay is still kickin' and lives in South Carolina. He has some age related illnesses, but is still doing OK. He's a real good man!!!

I was one of those 19 y.o. Warrants that everyone loved to hate, but being in the Max was one of the greatest honors of my life. All of us that made it out alive are all still good friends through the Vietnam Helicopter Pilot's Association and the Blue Max Association.

Great to hear from you and know you're around on TFF. You take care and stay in touch. Bet Regards, J.T. (Jet) Jackson
