Chief, When I was in nam in 69-70 there was a seabees across the road from us and the back of their perimeter was the China sea. They had a nice beach with all the goodies, they let us bring a jeep with trailer with beer iced down. I had a lot more written, but had to delete it to many words.

Rooter, I am a new member. I served in the Navy from 67-71 and spent some time with the Seals out of Coronado in a unit called BSU-1 on a STAB in Vietnam. I inserted and extracted the seals on a 24 ft special boat. I am a Texan and I just wanted to shout out and say thank you for your dedicated service. May you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May God Bless.

I've been away since my retirement in 1971 but when I get to visiting with the troops, that time thing is of no consequence...I currently live in Arizona and have since 1980. what was your rating/MOS? That same for you and
yours during this blessed holiday event...MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Chief, thanks for the offer. Now that you mention it, my wife collects angels. You mentioned something about making them. Would you do that for her? If so, could you mail it to Susan Eisenman 122 Mcmellon lane, Mansfield, La. 71052. It would mean a lot to her. Thanks.

I do make the John's Angels in memory of son John Jr. who died of AIDS in 1996. I will get on it tomorrow and box one up for your wife. I mailed one yesterday for a patient who had fallen and broke her hip.. there have been thousands and I appreciate your asking for one...Chief

Chief, thank you for the kind words and prayers... And who is to say we won't meet up some day. I DO have two younger sisters in AZ... one in Phoenix, and one in Glendale, your town... I have been trying to get out there for about thirty years...Anything is possible. Thank you again.

Rooter, good to see a VN Navy vet on the site. In VN on USS INDRA (ARL-37), a shallow-draft repair ship, we spent time at Cat Lo. We outfitted 80 assault craft for River Assault Squadrons 13 & 15. Most the of boats were reconfigured WWII LCM-6 landing craft that weighed 80 tons with the armor plate. Did gunfire support/battle damage repairs for the boats in the Rung Sat Special Zone. TexasNative

My last name is Eisenman. Translated from German it means Iron man. I am Cherokee and I like eagles. Hence iron eagle.

He was in a Transportation co that ran QL! from Danang to Phu Bai. He remembers it at the bridge area at Langco. Just hought you should know you aren't entirely crazy, it was there.
