I have a Model 34 ? 22cal. Smith and Wesson with a 4 inch barrel. it is stamped 34 on the yoke of the cylinder. The serial number is 62058 on the end of the butt. It is a 6 shot. The bluing is about 90% I would guess . It has not got any marks to speak of on the gun. It does not appear to have been shot very much. From what I can find ,it appears to be a model 34 and possibly a 1959 or 1960, but I am not sure. Can someone tell me ,and verify the age. It would be fun to know for sure.
The Model 34 Kit Gun. Great revolvers. They were introduced in 53, and were called the 22/32 Kit Gun, Model of 1953 until 1958 when they became the Model 34. They are built on the I-Frame.
Thankyou for helping. It is nice to know the age for fun. These are really well made and I enjoy looking at them. I am new to this forum and it seems I must have listed this in the wrong area ? Is there a better spot ?.. thanks again everyone.
You had it in the "introduce yourself" forum originally. George moved it here to the "whadahek IS THIS?" forum.
