I have a couple of things I'm interested in.

The LGS has a Kel-Tec KSG that I may want to trade my Mossberg 535 Turkey Tactical for.

There also happens to be a guy at our shooting range that has a Glock 32 (.357 Sig).
The Glock comes with dies, 180 new brass, 500 hand loads, and a small amount of factory loads. I believe it's a Gen 2 because it has no integrated rail. He had a smith mount a rail to it though. It also has a 3.5 lb trigger. My dad works at the range as a retirement fun job, and says the seller takes care of his stuff pretty well. He wants $750.

I was going to get the KSG, and then I saw the ad at the range for the G32. I can only get one, and with the trade in, the KSG is do-able now, but I have been kind of interested in the .357 Sig for a while now.

I know they are 2 totally different options. I'm kind of weird like that. :D Opinions?

I started adding up what a Gen 2 Glock 32, dies and ammo would cost.
If you figure $400 for the used gun, plus $50 for the dies and new cases that leaves $350 for 500 rounds of hand loads. That comes out to about .70 cents each round

I don't think I would want to pay that much for the package, can you negotiate?

I thought the price was a bit high also. He doesn't say anything about OBO on the paper.

I admit that I didn't consider the reload conversation because my dad sees the guy at the range a lot and trusts him as competent. That being said, anyone can make mistakes and you guys have a valid point about the reloads. My original thought was to offer him $600, but I think I will drop the idea for now. I will kick around the KSG idea some more now. Or maybe a Sig....

Especially since intelligent people don't shoot other people's handloads.

"Your" handloads? That means I gotta pull 'em all down, dump the powder ('cause I don't know what you used), pop the primers ('cause I don't know if they're standard, magnum or rifle) and start over, so yeah, waaay too much for the ammo. I wouldn't pay 35 dollars a box for factory. Sure ain't gonna do it for components.

Just go to the store, or go to gun broker and buy a SIG a real SIG, not a Glock, not a rock, not a Mossberg or a Goose-berg. Just pick up a Sig and it will be something that you'll dig.
Its better then a Ruger, it better then a cougar. It will make you happy as a clam, it will always go Bam! I'm really tired I worked a rough night, I'm really tired two patients got into a fight.
So now I will just say good-night.

A used Gluck with a pile of reloaded ammo........I don't think so. The KSG is an interesting gun and you will either love it or hate it. Being as short as it is the geometry of things make it very easy to short stoke it. I have one and definitely love/hateo_O it. It is the perfect home defense shotgun. Short with 14 rounds available, with instant ammo type switching if desired. If I concentrate she works well but the least deviation from full strong cycling it will fail to feed. The last 1/4" of the stroke is hard and you gotta complete every micro inch of travel for reliable function. I suspect that some examples are less temperamental than others. Mine has smoothed out with use and is way better than when new. Will it ever replace my Mossberg for serious business......can't say.
