I have a Redfield Golden five Star,3x9x50. I use it on my 218 Bee. Recticle is shot. Cannot buy one, I have to send it in for refurbishing. 100-200 dollars. I just want the recticle and fix myself. I know just buy a new one, right! Someone out there has some parts right?

The price to repair it is $100-200, that's a very vague cost estimate if Redfield is going to repair their product. If you're going to do it, do you have the necessary equipment to purge and dry the internal tube of any moisture and re-fill with nitrogen? Anytime the seal is broken on a rifle scope, there is enough atmospheric moisture create fog on the lenses if not purged with dry, inert nitrogen.

There's more to it than just opening the scope and swapping parts. Scope mechanisms are delicate and precise instruments. Even if you have the skills of a brain surgeon you still need to vacuum and fill the scope to make sure it has a dry nitrogen fill. Unless you have the proper tools it will be an exercise in futility. You must decide what this scope is worth to you. If it is a high end scope then $115 is a bargain, whether it's outrageous in your opinion. They have money invested in the proper tools, know what to do and make the proper checks to insure it functions and is sealed with dry nitrogen.
Frankly if it's an older Redfield I'd just get a new scope. The optics in low end Nikons for example are very crisp compared to some expensive offerings from 30 years ago.
