The revolver should shoot shorts just fine, they are not over powered (they are under powered), and the wheel turns the next round (issues would happen with pistols because the racking of the next round would be to long of a rack and could cause a issue of feeding the next round). But since it turns, and it lines the round up it should not be a issue.
I shoot shorts sometimes form my old high standard double nine, they are nice and quite, and easy on the revolver. I have never had a issue.

I had an H&R 929 that I shot all available .22 ammo in - LR, LR SHOT, Long, Short, CB Caps. I even shot some purple powerlets for a nail gun in it for blanks. A well made little gun which I enjoyed a lot - and now wish I had not sold.
The only thing about shooting the shorter cases is if you then switch to longer cases, they will be hard to insert and extract without scrubbing the chambers well with a brush and Hope's No 9, because the fouling starts at the case mouth, and it is then in the way of the longer cases.
