Ammunition Bullet Brass Metal Tool
They are already trimmed, primed and almost ready to load again.I was just going to resize them again to make the neck tight to press the bullet back in them with less powder this time.I wonder if the inertia hammer puller damages the solid small charge in the primers with the pounding needed to remove the bullets.
P.S.These are the bullets made using the Lee data the comes with the die set regarding scoop amounts that over charged my .223's in a previous batch I made.

You will be fine. One thing, though: I do not trust Lee loading data on it's own, and certainly not the Lee powder scoops. IMHO, you are better served using just about any other reloading manual (s) for charge weights and a powder dispenser/scale. One other thing, and this applies to the .223 almost beyond any other - the Lee FCD. Great tool.

Did you ever figure out the .38 Special squids?

Agree. I would prefer to get my data from the bullet manufacturer, or the powder manufacturer.

I don't see how the scoops can be any good for precision loading. There is no way to work up a load.

Digital scales are easy to use but the electronics can go bad and they need to be calibrated from time to time and the batteries need to be replaced. A beam balance doesn't need batteries and the digital display is non existent so it can't go bad on you and the batteries will never be an issue.

Cam lock/collet type pullers are faster and quieter than inertia pullers and require less energy because your ram supplies the leverage. To me they have some significant drawbacks. They don't work as well on small bullets. The selection of collets for handgun calibers is limited. They tend to damage the bullets. I've used RCBS and Hornaday, the Hornaday cam system seems a bit faster but they both damaged bullets.

Unless I have to pull a bunch of bullets and don't want to save and reload them, I'll stick to the inertia puller.

I use the Hornady cam lock puller. If the shoulder of the bullet is above the brass, it won't damage any thing if it is carefully set. And if you can grab the cannelure you are good to go.

Now Hornady tells you that it is only for rifle, but I have them set up for 380, 9mm, .40, and .45. The only one I have had problems with is the 380.

I have an RCBS bullet puller. I assume it works the same as the cam puller. With both isn't a collet tightened around the bullet to pull it? I have never, not even one time, pulled a bullet with the RCBS die without damaging the bullet! I use only the hammer puller. But even with it I needed to work a bit on pulling to keep from damaging tip's. I have tried stuffing of cotton and foam and still managed to mess up some points. Now it's couple good whacks and then a soft one or two and never a damaged bullet.

By the way, reload the shells again. Size over with the decapping pin pulled as a few other's have said. I wouldn't worry about full length or neck sizing. In theory, the case won't be resized anymore than it already is. To put my necks over the expander easily, I have started putting a bit of Hornady Unique paste case lube. Do it with a q tip and clean out with a q tip when it's done. Just started using the stuff and it's great. Little dab before the trimmer and they come off the trimmer mandrel very easy! I might add that the lube really hepls slow case stretch when used inside the neck. Expander plug it biggest sourse of case stretch!

before you do anything, see how much neck tension there is.. if there is enough tension to hold the bullet so that it can be crimped, you are good to go,, just charge, set bullet, then crimp.

I have pulled down old 303 and have done that.. sufficient neck tension remained to hold a projectile in place till i crimped them.

you might just get lucky.
