I'm new to the forum and would appreciate if anyone has a source for a firing pin for my pistol. In looking at previous posts reference was made to check Numrich Gun Parts, but the Firing pins are sold out.
Some of these same posts also indicated there was the possibility a member might be able to supply the part but unfortunately, no contact information was provided.
It would be appreciated if someone could provide a source for the part or even a parts schematic as the existing firing pin only has the impact pin broken off the body. With a schematic, I believe a new impact pin could be welded into place, but position, shape and length are obviously critical to allow for correct contact with the cartridge rim.
Thanks.

Please post a picture of the Supershot you have. There were several models (7,8,9) and several firing pin variations. The Supershot 7 & 9 used an off set firing pin that was held in place by a pin. The Supershot 8 used a firing pin that was set in a bushing.

The quick replies with the suggestions and schematic very much appreciated.
I'm posting a picture of the pistol and a close up of the firing pin (FP) I removed from the pistol.
As per the input on the different models and viewing the schematic, I definitely have a weird FP set up . The FP is only held in by a fitted pin that both holds it in place (slotted area on bottom) and allows it to slide back and forth in the receiver. The smaller round area on the face of the FP opposite the slotted area is where the actual striker (?) pin was broken off.
It looks like this particular model was a less expensive version considering the simple design but it was my Dad's and I'd love to get it back into shooting condition.
Obviously my goal is to find a replacement FP, but if that doesn't pan out, then perhaps i can have a new striker welded to the original spot on the FP. Again a schematic of this model would really help so the dimensions would be right.
Thanks again for everyone's input and suggestions, as at least,
Gun Firearm Revolver Trigger Gun barrel
it appears three may be some hope for a possible repair.

The end of the firing pin broke off. It would have originally had been a rectangular shape at the end that stuck the rim. If you are handy, you can try to make one out of stock metal. If not, a gunsmith should be able to make a replacement. Just be aware the softer metal will deform over time. You should also have a firing pin spring that keeps it from protruding out the firing pin hole in the frame.

Looks like yours was manufactured in 1934.
