Hello all. I am BRAND NEW to this forum and was hoping to "Ask the Pros" if yall might have any info on this firearm.
The serials are showing A 14570 and it's been sitting in a safe for as long as I can remember. I hadn't payed much attention to it until I saw some very decorative versions online on the foxcollectors.com and it peaked my interest to find out more about it.
I'm not sure what to say about it so I took some pictures to attach.
ANY INFO IS APPRECIATED. Thanks yall!

Good Morning Sir from neighbor Arizona....we could talk about the weather and these
record setting temps but why...you and I must do that for I am not associated with
guns and sporting activities...at your young age I bet you are very much...!These fine Americans
on TFF allow me to 'jack-my-jaws' and tell them things about life's rocky road and faiths
generous promises... Before coming to Arizona in 1980 I lived down in Ventura County
near the Seabee base at Port Hueneme where I'd retired from a decade earlier...That pins
my age for you if you wondered...be 84 in October...I work with wood as a hobby and
make all sorts of things for the folks.....little kids and old Grandmas rate fairly with the
things I do...Welcome on board... Chief

Your picture showing the inside of the fore end iron confirms you have an AE Fox. "A" for the grade, "E" because it has auto ejectors. An extra cost option back when the gun was made.
From what I can tell from your pictures, looks to be in decent condition but it has no butt plate or recoil pad. Can't tell if everything else is OK and original.

Good gun to shoot if everything checks out OK.

Hope this helps.

Thank you Jolly Bill.
I saw your name on a google search when I was looking into this gun on my own. You had given another member some info... lol... to be honest your answer was the reason why I joined this forum and posted my questions here.
I took this piece to a local firearms place who has helped me with some of my other PRE-1930 guns and he said other than the fore end being tiny bit loose, I have a pin missing on one side of the extractor. He also said all three pieces matched up serial number wise... so I guess that's good? lol
Is this gun worth much? or is this one of them "wall hangers"?

Definitely more than a wall hanger. I wouldn't shoot heavy loads thru the old girl, or steel shot, or slugs. 12 gauge target or field loads of 1 or 1 1/8 ounce will be fine.
As for that missing pin, is that the guide pin on the ejector that fits into the barrel and keeps it aligned? If so, is the missing pin lodged inside the barrel? Kinda tricky getting the broken pin out but a good gunsmith could take care of it.
I have an early A grade like yours, just a year or two older, and I have shot about 7000 rounds thru the gun in the last few years. I should add that those are light hand loads. Sometimes old wood suffers most from heavy loads.
Value? With that missing pin and the action being a little loose, that hurts the value some. Without those warts, I would guess your gun would be values at around $1500 +/- a hunert or so. Depends on how motivated the buyer and seller are.

Hope this helps some. If not, ask some more.
