As I mentioned in JRL's thread yesterday, I went to the range this morning and took my Daughter-in-law and Grandson. I made it a day for only 9mm pistols. I did not take a lot of pictures though after the first couple of minutes. We were having too much fun and just plain forgot after we got going.
The pictures I did get was of the pistols that we shot. Clockwise from the top: Luger P-08, Sig Sauer P-250, Sig Sauer 938 (my carry), Bersa Firestorm, Walther P-1, and Taurus PT-1911
My Daughter-in-law, Erica. She asked me a couple of weeks ago if I would take her shooting. She said today that this was the first time in three years that she had even touched a gun.
After three years, this was her first magazine (10 rounds) through the Bersa, this was fired at five yards:
The picture is not upside down, my grandson hung some of the targets that way.
Last picture is of my first target (two magazines) with the Sig 938 at 7 yards:
With the six guns that we fired, each one of us had at least one failure to feed with the Taurus 1911 but they all were with the same magazine so I am going to blame that mag. Erica has one stovepipe in her Bersa - limp wristed it on the first shot! Brandon had one failure to feed with the Luger, which I can't figure a reason.
Only other "problem" we had was that in the Sig 250, Brandon had one round that failed to fire twice. I stuck it in the P-1 and it shot fine, can't explain that one either. Brandon couldn't seem to hit at all with any of the guns, but with him being blind, he did fair enough.
All in all, it was a fun day at the range.
