I have a 1958 Winchester 94 carbine that appear to have a non standard sight ramp and I am having a hard time zeroing for accuracy. Does anyone know the height of the sight (ramp and sight) for a Winchester 94 carbine of the same period? I'm just trying to figure out if the ramp and sight are too high. Thanks.
On my 30-30 20 inch barrel, the front sight was 1/2 an inch tall, (above the barrel.)
My rear sight on the lowest setting, (at the bottom of the notch,) is 5/16 of an inch; at the highest setting, it is 7/16 of an inch.
If you can't get it to hit high enough, get a shorter front sight; if it hits too high, get a taller front sight.
Give us more information, and we can better help.
