A few weeks back I picked up a new Remington R1 for an excellent price - cheaper than the shop I work for can get it - and got a $100 rebate on top of that. After fondling it for a bit, I decided to put it in a hidden place, since I'm out of space in my safe.

I've spent much of the past three days looking for it; I have no idea where I put it. Have you ever done anything that ridiculous? How did you resolve it?

Check the dish washer. I understand that some of our other members use that appliance with guns.

That quit happening about the same time I quit smoking those left handed cigarettes...:D

Somewhere, in one of the houses I lived in as a youngster, I can see a husband in the attic yelling to his wife, "Hey, Honey, look what I found!!"

I hope you find your new gun.

I'm still looking for a NAA pistol that I put up out of sight 15 years ago. I really thought I knew where I put it, but I can't find it!

I tried that, but all I got was goofy looks form the family!

Good Morning Sir....If it is any consolation to you I may mention it is the positive hydrogen
ions floating around in the overheated desert air...those effect all of your memory circuits and
hence, stash a gun someplace and you've done it so well with the originality of it all...shall
I rest my case or keep it up...under or between your mattress....that crawl space up in the
attic...under the carpet that's under your bed...in those springs of the fold out davenport?
While back I bought one of those little electronic safes from Harbor Freight....hid the
combination to the device....lost for weeks...dusting off my bible I keep at the bedside, that
little scrap of paper fell out. After all that time of fretting and worrying, I gave the safe to
my daughter and husband...they are thrilled with its utility value for the work she does at
home for the company she works for needs the security of locking it up...Chief

I really like the "box of hollow points" as bait post - but for a more practical solution, in my house, one of two usually but not always, works.

First, I ask myself, where is the place my wife is LEAST likely to every go or look since I am am usually hiding it from her and if it is not there, I go to option two which is "assuming my wife found the object in question, where would she hide it to punish me for my clandestine attempt to bring another gun into the house?"

Check in your dresser under the shirts you never wear...

If you're having trouble keeping track of them Roger I'd be more than happy to take another one or two off your hands.

We sure enjoy that Savage. Thanks and in all seriousness I hope you find it soon.
