I've done some searching on the web and can find no documents with the serial # to DOM.
This place pops up in the search with tons of IJ/US questions, I hope someone can help me find when this old gun was made. I have several of them but we'll start with this one first.
Serial number on this US Revolver Co is 30621 It's chambered in 32 S&W short. There is no hammer the hammer safety bar. The cylinder does free-wheel clockwise.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
Ken

You did not state if it had a letter code under the the left grip, we need to know if it does or does not have one , if it does have a letter stamped there we need to know what it is. see the posting from hrf at the top of the forum under rules. US revolvers never had hammer the hammer feature.

Unfortunally I can't get the grips off. The threaded grip screw insert just spins. So right now I'm working on that. I don't want to ruin the grips. Is there an on-line reference that gives you the serial number/date time?
Thanks,
Ken

It was made in 1912 if it does not have a letter code under the grip and 1920 if it does. The prefix should be A if it has it.

There were almost 170K of these made between 1910 and 1936. It was built using surplus Iver Johnson 2nd Model Safety Hammer Automatic frames; however, as RJay pointed it out, it does not have the hammer the hammer feature. It is considered a black powder frame, and it is not safe for modern smokeless ammunition.
