Specs are Bullet : 150gr. Sierra JHP

Ballistics : 150gr. @ 1275fps / 542 ft/lbs- Glock 23 (4.0"bbl)

Case of 500rds.Bullet
$440
I was debating on these versus Underwood 135 grain, which is speced at 1,400 FPS and 588 lbs, but I read the Underwood is too hot for a lot of firearms. I'm planning on buying an M&P 2.0 in 40. I'm not sure if I'll go for the compact, or full size. It'll probably just come down to what the shop has. I pretty much want to stick to one or two calibers. I might later on down the line buy an M&P Longslide and convert it to 357 Sig. I rather have a more compact pistol first though.

Just my opinion FWIW. Underwood/Buffalo Bore/ect, is unnecessarily powerful for regular shooting. It's expensive, and hard on both the shooter and the gun. As for defensive purposes, there are lots of proven performers that a both less expensive, and easier on the gun. If you just want to try the boutique stuff, I'd suggest you buy a box and give it a go before investing in a case lot. Good luck!

I've always bought the gun before the ammo...
Some ammo may work very well in a specific gun, whereas others won't, while that same ammo won't work in a different one. Get the gun you want, then find the ammo that works best.

That is a highly overlooked great piece of advice.
Think about pass thru as well for the innocents behind the bg or the person in the next house when you have a slam fire, loaded a round for your carry gun and finger accidently hit the trigger, whatever.
Carry conceal has a lot of things to think about.
