Hi to all.
Firstly a big thanks to all who replied to my question about lever guns. It helped me make up my mind to stick with a bolt action for hunting, which brings me to todays topic.

I have just acquired a Webley Exocet, a fairly new model to the 22 rf range. There aren't many vids on utube reviewing it, but all positive for build quality and accuracy. This plus the fact the seller was giving up shooting and virtually giving away this one year old rifle, swayed my purchase.

It looked new and unused, and I believed the guy when he claimed It had only had one box of ammo through it. (confirmed when I saw his fac cert. I dont know about your system but here all ammo bought is recorded) It also had a quality scope, sound mod, bipod, gun bag and sling, all as new. All in, new around £ 600 - ($830) for £250 ($345) - No complaints.

The first ammo I tried was Eley subs, a decent brand which managed 1" groups at 60m (65yd) so I next tried Winchester subs which got it down to 5/8, -" excellent

So all in all I'm very pleased with the rifle, but just one small niggle. The trigger is a bit too heavy, and taking out the action I found the trigger adjuster fully at its lightest setting, so it means fitting a lighter spring. Its a similar set up to my CZ trigger, but there are three fixing pins, ( rather than the two on the CZ, of which one has to be removed.)

I dont want to start knocking pins out randomly, to find bits bobs and ballbearings flying out everywhere, so If anyone has one of these rifles and has done this modification I would be pleased to hear from you.

There are distributors for the Exocet in the US so I may be lucky. Ive tried asking on the forums over here but no joy.

Thanks Ian.
