Hello, I have a model 923 revolver and when you cock the hammer and pull the trigger, it pushes the trigger froward. The hammer does not slam forward. Can any of you help with this?
The sear id not disengaging from the hammer completely causing it to follow the hammer down. The notches on the hammer may be damaged. The trigger may not be moving all the way to the rear. Kind of need to see it to fix it.
There is not much info on this gun due to its original low cost and lack of a following among enthusiasts. These guns have close tolerances and somewhat poorly made parts. All it takes is for one part to get a little out of whack and things go bad. The double action sear is not disengaging casing the hammer to follow the hammer down.
I took the hammer off and found that it was completely broken. I ordered a new one and now I am waiting on parts. Can not wait to get it fully operational. This will be great. Thank you for the feedback. More to come as I progress.
