Hey everyone. I'm curious if there are any Arisaka gurus on here that can shed some light on a Type 99 that was given to me. Just was curious about which armory it came from, year, and any other info about it. The serial is very worn, so I'm hoping it's still able to be recognized by someone...

  3. Technical Questions & Information
I recently purchased an Arisaka rifle from World War II and wanted to learn a little more about it. I'm 21 and am just getting into firearms and thought this would be a good, inexpensive way of owning a war rifle. The man I bought it off of told me that it belonged to a captured Japanese soldier...

This is my Japanese Arisaka Rifle. Based on the markings and my research, I figure the following: Early Type 99 Nagoya Arsenal 5th series 1: Does it appear to be missing anything besides the cleaning rod? 2: Would this have a long cleaning rod? A long peice of wire goes all the way down. And...

I recently got an arisaka type 38 with a sporterized stock. I was wondering if I could take a single piece stock off a training type 38 and use it. I am also curious as to what other parts are cross compatible. Any input is greatly appreciated!!!

I have an Arisaka that I can not identify. The ONLY identification that I can find is a S/N 120xx. I can not find an Arsenal Mark, Series Mark, etc. I think it is a Type 38, but not even sure of that. My Type 99 is clearly marked with Kanji.

I am interesting in selling this rifle and bayonet and would like to know its potential value. This has been in my family since it was acquired by my uncle who fought in the Pacific in WW2. There has bee no refinish, restoration or rebuild of the rifle. The rifle retains most of the bluing...

Hi, new to this forum, hoping that you all could shed a bit of light on what I believe to be a Arisaka T99 "Last Ditch" rifle. I have never seen such a crudely produced firearm, which appears to be using a die-cast receiver? The solid wood stock has a metal buttplate. Front sight post is...

This rifle was given to me very recently by my grandfather. He got it from one of his brothers who was in occupied Japan after the bombs dropped. I've been doing online research and took it to two separate shops in which both could not solidly nail down this type of rifle. It appears to have...

Found a type 38 Arisaka in 7.7 with unusual kanji stamped on top of the action. My kanji is sub par but characters look like: "Well Test(?) Type". Has no mum (not struck out or ground off) has dust cover and early long tongue knob on back of bolt. Wondering if this could be a 1929 test rifle...
