Ok, I got a great deal on a Hornady 336 auto 12 gauge at a recent gun show and was wondering if it will work with #4 buckshot since I like casting my ammo and lee makes an 18 cavity #4 buckshot mold. It would be great if it could use 00 buckshot too, but that seems like it might be too big.

Hello fountains of knowledge,
I picked up a pretty nice sportswriter Mas 36 on Saturday. It has 2-7x redfield scopeI want to try some distance shooting with it but the trigger is very heavy.
I did a bit of reading and it seems I can replace the spring inside the bolt with a Wolff M1 carbine...
Like most people, I feel the crunch on reloading supplies. $48 for 1,000 CCI Lg pistol primers. I get it, supply and demand.
Last weekend, at a gun show in MT, I watched man after man pay $150 for bricks of 1,000 Sm rifle.
I know of a neighbor that got taken for $200 on 3 boxes of primers...
I saved over 6,500 used brass most being 5.56 so I cleaned a couple hundred here and there and deprimed them cleaned them then primed with small caliber primers now I moved on to powder I’m using BL-C(2) powder and averaging 25.6gr in each brass. When I put the bullet on (55gr FMJ) the bullet...
Here are my latest attempts at my goal of putting 25 shots into a dime sized target. Not yet close enough. Need more tweaking but still having fun. And here is the lady that is helping me get there.
Back to the rifle range in pursuit of perfection.
Back to the range at 100 yards looking for 1 hole accuracy. Will be working toward my stated goal and having a lot of fun trying to get there.
Finally felt safe enough to avoid Covid-19 and get out and do some target shooting. Here are the results from my 222 Custom Remington.
Next step is to re-load the same brass with the same primers, same bullets and same powder charges and shoot an identical target at 100 yards see those...
I recently got a CZ Scorpion and I'm wanting to make some super hot loads to get as close to rifle ballistics as possible. Has anyone done this or have any advise? I understand it would wear the gun faster but I would only be shooting these in a SHTF scenario, not regularly.
Well I've been setting around on a raining day without much to do. I have shot my cap and ball revolver enough for it to need a dip in the sink and am not quite ready to do that just yet. My primers are getting lower than I like so am conserving those and not doing any sizable reloading runs...
I have a bunch of empty 9mm and 45 ACP ammo trays/boxes (Winchester, Herters, Remington, Federal and S&B) accumulated over the last few months. I hate to throw them out if any reloaders want them.
If you do want them, please PM me your address and I will send them to you FREE of charge.
First...
In an attempt to salvage some 200 cases of loaded .243 Winchester (not military possible crimped) bought in a garage sale and somewhat corroded-I began the decapping and noticed many of the primers were fragmenting, the bottom separating and leaving the primer walls still in the pocket-I devised...
Good morning gentlemen (and ladies)
I have played with guns and reloading for over 45 years. Was a avid shooter back in the day when I could still see a fly buzzing that old bucks head @ 100 yards. Now days I entertain myself fixing up old guns, reloading, casting, and any other little...
Hi Guys,
I am preparing to retire from 30 years as a Fishery Officer on the east coast of Canada and summed up 27 years in the CDN Army Reserve in 2015.
This forum was recommended in a youtube video on reloading. While I've been a shooter for most of my life, reloading is a new venture for...
Hi all,
Old guy, yet new to this site. I recently inherited all my father's reloading equipment. Most of it is old and well used. A bunch of types of brass, dies and powders. I will not be using a good portion of the equipment or supplies. What is a common way of getting the info out and...
Someone share a bad experience with me so I thought I'd pass it on.
Prior to the last election a lot of people bought huge amounts of ammo. Yes, I also bought more than normal... Other than taking up space and having to keep it dry, it isn't much of an issue. I also reload and have thousands...
Hello, I am new to this forum and my name is Daryl. I am looking forward to getting a lot of information from this forum. I am 75, retired and anxious to have some fun with my family. My wife loves to shoot with me so I have a pass to shoot anytime.
I own a few firearms and used to hunt when i...
I know we have members in many parts of the world and while the ownership of firearms is very limited to non-existent I am curious about reloading supplies in countries where firearms are permitted albeit limited. I am still very much a newcomer to reloading but have come to enjoy the hobby...
I am interested in starting to reload .30-30 cartridges for my 1984 Marlin 336CS lever action rifle. I have a Lee (hand) reloader press and already reload my .44 Mag. cartridges.
Looking for advice on the top 2-3 Reloading powders for a .30-30 cartridge?
Also if you have some rationale for...
Hey, I am new to reloading, and I wanted some insight on a mistake I made.
I loaded a batch of .243 Winchester with:
41.0 gr of IMR 4831
Hornady 100 gr BTSP
Winchester Brass (new)
But I accidentally loaded them with magnum primers (CCI #250). (I'm stupid, I know.)
Will these be safe to use in...
