I have a couple old guns that have been passed on down through the family, both are in great condition and I have no intention of selling them but I was wondering what they were worth if anything. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

    (1) Lefever nitro special, serial # 146039, all numbers match, also says "Lefever Co. Ithaca NY" on the barrel, 30" barrel.

    (2) Mauser Chileno Modelo 1895, has "M507" stamped on the barrel, and also has written " Deutsche waffen-und munitionsfabriken BERLIN". 7x57, has a vented barrel, I cant find a serial number anywhere unless the M507 is the serial number.

Just curious as to value, age and anything else of interest about these guns. Thanks!

The Chilean Mauser has a vented barrel? Sounds like it has been sporterized. Depending on condition and what has been done to it, value is fairly low, anywhere from $50 to $125. If it was original unmodified, in very good to excellent condition, more like $175 to $225.

I really have no clue on the shotgun - not my bag.

    ...Nitro Special Hammerless Double..,
    Boxlock..Plain Extractors..Single or Double triggers...Gauges 12,16,20 and .410...Barrel lenghts 26-32 in....Standard Chokes...Checkered Pistol Grip Stock and Forend...mfg 1921-1948:

Nitro Special w/double triggers= $395.00 Excellent condition, $237.00 in good condition...

    Nitro Special w/single trigger= $495.00 Exc...$$337.00 good...

...looks like the other three gauges have or carry more value...

add 25% for 16 ga, add 50% for 20 ga, and 200% for .410 ga (bore)...

Info comes from Guntrader and typically their prices usually stay on the Low side...Market drives everything so I only use the books as reference...Try GB auctions to see if you can find others like yours and see what amount anyone is bidding on them...Bluebook info. and pricing is basically the same...Now if this was a Sidelock mfg between 1885-1919...$$$
