This was given to my dad in 1970. The bill of laiding is on a Garcia shipping form. I was always told he sold an incredible amount of Winchester rifles back in the day, he must have sold Rossi as well. It is possible my info is not correct. The rifle is in good condition. There is some corrosion or separation of the gold plating shown in the photo, but none of the base metal is showing through. I have the brochure that came with this as well. The paperwork from Rossi has my dad's name on it.

He went on to sell sporting goods his entire life. Tents, sleeping bags, coolers etc. He was well liked in this region and had a special talent for sales.

I would love to know more about this, but I know its unlikely anyone would know about it or my dad. How would I get this appraised? I can take more pictures if there is any interest.

Thank you for reading this and have a good day.

The one photo appears to have gold lifting only on the cover over the slide bar, that is easily removed, cleaned, and blued. Hopefully the remainder of the plating is intact

It APPEARS to me that the gun was actually nickel plated before it was engraved, and then was gold-plated over the engraving cuts. Looks like lots of rust pits around the engraving.
Without better close ups, I can't be sure.
