Hello, this is my first post. I need some information on a ten inch barrel, looks like an 7 or 8 shot revolver. It is a 22 h & r arms co worcester mass usa. hunter model it says on it. looks like a wooden handle. It was my husband,he died in '99, and I forgot about it until today when I found it in the closet. Any idea of its worth and any information on it at all would be helpful

Please post a close up picture from a couple of different angles and give us the first 4 numbers of the serial number including letter prefix if it has one.

H&R made several Hunter models in 9 shot and 7 shot versions that I know of and there may be more I don't know about. Could be a late model or an early turn of the century model.

I have the same (I think) gun that Donna described. Mine is 9 1/2 in barrel brass blade front sight 9 shot double action sn 174664 . Interested to know the age.
