Hey all. Unfortunatly the political liberals and the weak minded sheep that follow them have made obtaining .22 long ammo almost impossible. Where is there any relief from this? It seems every place is either sold out or out of stock.

Trust me I am not defending them but how did they do that with only 22LR when everything is hard to get?

I am in NEW YORK state, and they are not stopping here. I ,as of April 15th have to go through a federal background check to purchase ANY ammo. The supply of ammo is out of stock. Where did my great country go?

You SHOULD be able to, Beth, but only a few states let CCW holders slide on the background checks and New York ain't gonna be one, their intent is to harass you and make it as difficult as possible for you to buy and own ANYTHING to do with firearms...

My understanding is that EVERY ammo purchase will require a BGI. Online orders have dried up to NY because they will not ship. If the average person wanted to go to local gun shop for 50 rds of .22s,a BGI is required.

I use the term hoarders very specifically. I'm taking about the ones who wait until a situation like the present to buy all the ammo they can to resell for a tremendous profit. I'm not talking about those who have prepared over a number of years,a brick here a brick there to have it when needed. I too have curtailed my shooting but I'm keeping what I have for eventualities. I could make a good profit if I was the type I'm talking about. I don't have to buy their high priced shite, I'm OK.:eek::rolleyes:;);)

Shop in Vermont. But, .22 LR is in short supply everywhere. .22 magnums on the other hand turn up regulary, not cheap at $14 a box for CCI's, but available.

What is the deal with NY? do you have to go through the same background check as if you buy a gun? Do you have to fill out all the forms? Is there a waiting period?

That is my understanding of the NYSAFE act. Gov. Cuomo is looking to nab Democratic nomination for 2016 White house. smells bad along with Hillary vs cuomo. April 15th the law is to take affect. please help us!
