I've looked but can't find the specs. So, what is the bore of a barrel of a .22 long/long rifle barrel compared to a .22 magnum barrel. How much does accuracy suffer when shooting non-magnum ammo, in revolvers (like my Heritage) that have interchangable cylinders, in order to handle the magnum bullets? I would "mike" a couple of bullets but I don't have a magnum cylinder or any magnum ammo, yet.

If interested, you could take a small lead fishing weight at the .224 diameter or the closest to that. Then oil the barrel and use a wood dowel to hammer the ball thru the barrel. Keep a steel hammer away from the crown. Then you can measure the slug that exited and see the lands/grooves in reverse. Then you can see what happens to your actual bullet and it is morphed into the shape of the barrel.
