If interested, you could take a small lead fishing weight at the .224 diameter or the closest to that. Then oil the barrel and use a wood dowel to hammer the ball thru the barrel. Keep a steel hammer away from the crown. Then you can measure the slug that exited and see the lands/grooves in reverse. Then you can see what happens to your actual bullet and it is morphed into the shape of the barrel.
