A long, long time ago, I did some work for a man and he gave me an old rifle that needed a bit of work as a extra reward for a job well done. It has moved with me about six-times. Honestly I had forgotten about it till this week when I was getting presents from the back of my closet.

It's not in bad shape but needs a stock, mag, and trigger guard. I may have the stock somplace but don't recall.

Thought are appreciated on what this might be worth as-is and restored.

One of our local pawn shops has been sitting on this 3400 for a while now. Asking $350...with no takers.

It's in good to very good condition but it's way overpriced.

Book value on a 3400 isn't any higher than any other 340 action rifle. Here in ND, they typically sell for $250 if they're in very good to excellent condition. If they're beat up, value drops off a bit.

If you can find the parts cheap then it's a good project rifle. They are good little shooters.
If you're looking at it as a money-maker though, then I'd probably pass on it.
