I went to the range today and put around 500 rds of 22LR thru my Gold Cup w/22LR Ciener conversion.

Shot 300 rds Winchester Copper Plated HP, 2-3" groups, 100 rds Winchester Super X, 1 1/2-2" groups, and 100 rds Remington Thunderbolt, 1-1 1/2" groups at 25 yds.

What is the best this unit can shoot? What is the best inexpensive 22LR ammo to use for practice. The above ammo cost $10.00 a brick.

This is very good inexpensive practice for sight and trigger control. Had a blast doing it too!

Tuck, As I recall Ciener recommends Win, Super-X with this conversation. But for plinking and practice, shoot what it feeds best.

Sam, the Winchester fed the best. I had no jams with any of the ammo, but I had three times the Remington failed to feed. Came up with an empty chamber each time. the Remington was the most accurate though. Too Bad.

I had planned on doing that Sam. I'm running low on 45 ammo. Need to sit down at the reloading bench for a while.

I worked on the sear spring some today and I solved the falling hammer problem to some extent. I can still force it to fall, but it doesn't fall on its' own now.
