I think I had a 243 about 20yrs ago. Wish I would have read this post then and also wish I still had the rifle. It was an early m70 win. 300-400 yrd headshots on deer were no problem with that rifle.

I'm lucky to have two of them - my favorite cartridge! One is a store-bought Browning BLR, the other a homemade AR-10 (DPMS style) in .243 Win for when I really want to reach out to someone. Sadly, I haven't had time to shoot either of them since my trip to South Dakota two years ago.🥺
