Stopped by Gary's when I was in town today. They had a .338 Barrett w/hi-end scope sitting on the counter for a little under $8k. Spent some time talking with Gene (an old guy like me with the same name) and drooling over it. Nice discussion about guns (he's also a wheel gun fan), and the whole gun control thing. Both of us (being old farts) were careful not to get our blood pressure up too high. 
Was also looking at the shotguns. Had a Mossy 500 tactical on the rack for $449. Might go back and get that in a day or so. Need to check prices in a couple other shops.
