I need to get a good idea of the value of some 7.62x39 armor piercing (steel core) ammo.

We did verify it is steel cored ammo by pulling one of the bullets.

My father has about 500 rounds he is wanting to sell to get himself another firearm.

I was told at least $1 a round, but I have no idea.

It is still in the sealed spam can...and I think it is actually 550 rounds. The bullet that was pulled came out of one of three cans he had.

Put it on an auction site - it will sell. Everything is selling now.

I see 720 rounds steel core offered at $500. No takers on it though.

it's not like I found it in my garage next to a stack of boxes or anything. it was in the 'armory' :) just kidding.

It was where i have a couple ammo cans to store my ammo. I saw the can and knew about it's presence..it's just I had been thinking for years it was 7.62x54r for my MN or svt40 didn't realize it was the smaller 762. :)
