    90 years old, and still in production.........and still considered by many as the finest defensive handgun you can buy!

    In 1911 man had just taken a few small steps toward flight......no ballpoint pens, radio, TV, cars were few and far between, most homes had no electricity or telephones....most people lived, and died within 50 miles of where they were born.....but you could buy a gun that, 90 years later, would still have no peer.

    Looks like Mr. Browning did OK.

    I don't think the 1911 will ever go away. Best pistol on the planet.
