I found this box of 9mm in a box of reloading equipment. Does it have sort of historical value or is it ok to shoot it.

Definately collectable, it seems, but having trouble finding a price -
An auction site sold three boxes for $187 four years ago -
Darned german site, I can't figure out if that was all three or per each -

It's 9mm Browning Long, you know. Not 9mm Parabellum/9mm Luger/9x19.

Don't know about the brown box, but the two boxes of Steyr ammo are plainly marked non-corrosive.

I'm sorry, I should have clarified which one I was wondering about. It's the box of Browning ammo. I typed in the name on google and didn't find any useful info.

Wilhelm Gustloff was a major Nazi, assassinated in 1936. The Berlin Suhler Waffen und Fahrzeugwerke was renamed Wilhelm Gustloff Werke in Gustloff's honor in 1939.

I'm thinking anything named for a Nazi would have been renamed after the war, and therefore these are wartime production. So, yes, I would say there's about a 99.9% chance they are corrosive.

Id sell them. They are worth far more to you sold to a collector than fired thru a gun. Prolly corrosive and not really that accurate anyway. Plus they aint 9mm Luger ammo.

The 9mm Browning Long (Kal. 9mm Lang) is a 9X20mm ctg. with ballistics just a tad hotter than .380 ACP (9mm Browning court)
