The nation's four outermost geographical points: Madawaska Me. Key West Fl. San Ysidro Ca. and Blaine Wa. I live in Blaine: so how many of our members live near any of the other corners?

Do I get any points for being less than 60 miles from the geographical center of North America (Rugby, N. Dak.)?

Actually, Imperial Beach is the most southwest city even if it is a little north of san ysidro - I used to live there, within sight of the bullring in Tijuana.

I guess that only counted the Lower 48. I have been to Barrow, Alaska. I lived in Anchorage for a few years. I have also been to Key West. I now live in Sarasota, FL.

Did you know that Alaska was the Northern-most, Western-most and Eastern-most Sate. It actually crosses some dividing line that seperates east from west.

    teehee1,
I'm exploring a job opportunity in Bellingham. I'm guessing you aren't to far away from there. What is your opinion of the area? Any very good points? What are any down sides to the area? Sure appreciate your input, it might make a difference in my final decision to move. Presently I reside in the megalopolis of Southern Kalifornia.

Since there are at least 7 of us could a rendezvous (get together) be possible? If you guys will copy this and insert your locale we could speculate...

What would be the theme of the get-together? Pistol, rifle, shotgun, blackpowder, BS'n'libations?

I'm also over in Y'sacres part of the world fairly frequently on business, so might be able to get to a shoot on either side with not much trouble. I live about halfway between Sams and WSI at the top of Lk WA.

Yeah, let's get together. I hope I'll be over next week, and will let you know when I can firm it up.

Sam's is one of the local ranges here, in Everett. Good bunch of guys, lots of friendly folks. Run by ex LEOs to a large extent. Some of 'em don't even laugh out loud when I take out my 9mm 1911.

Yeah, I bought a matched set, STI Trojan 9mm and 45, plus a couple of Kimber 45's (a full size and an Ultra Carry). The 9 is a great gun, cheap to shoot, and when arthritis kicks up it's not quite as much of a handfull.

One of the local gunsmiths, Dane Burns builds and shoots 9x23 and if they weren't so pricey I'd think about one of those sometime.

The other guns I've got are mainly SIGs, and I really like the ease of breaking 'em down. 5 seconds and it's apart, 5 more seconds and it's back together again. Makes maintaining the 1911's seem like work!

I'm up for a road trip but it would have to be after April and I'd have to coordinate with my boss being gone to conventions (2 man office and she hates somebody not being there).

Let me know cause I wanna go!
