I had a rough night last night. I think several things came together to make it all happen. Watching CNN before going to bed...and eating cheap junk food that i'm sure was chocked full of preservatives didn't help either. The Cum and Go Gas station next door to the apartment complex has these cheap $1 hamburgers called "Charbroils". I know they're bad because i itch like crazy after i eat a couple which is a sign of a high level of preservatives. Canned Vegies like grean beans are full of them and make me itch like crazy..

But anyway between CNN and the idiots on it...., those Charbroils...and all this worrying about weither barry is the anti christ or maybe Ariel Sharone will come out of his Coma and be the anti christ...i dunno...but all that made for one horrible nasty disturbed dream about the devil and his Lieutenants last night...
The devil was like a dentists novacane shot. He just makes ya numb and then one of his minion comes and rips ya to pieces. Just like a tornado. The main funnel is bad enough but it also has those little ripper funnels that orbit arrount the main funnel that just rip the living daylights out of everything. And the devil was one track minded...one purpose only...to numb a person down and devor them spiritually.

Any of you guys that are religious who might feel inclined to send up a prayer for me i would appreciate it. I hope i don't dream another one of these darn things again for a long long time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate it when a nightmare is so disturbing that it haunts me even after i am awake...

I think it's better to be watching & learning than to stick your head in the sand-so to speak. I do pray for your health & comfort. I think it behooves us all to be watchfull & in these fast changing times. Hang in there bro:)

I cant actually remember sleeping all night, and am often woken with a bad dream. I get up and think 'I dont want to go back there' go make a drink, eat some cookies, checkout TFF. Go back to bed, wake up two hours later. Maybe three times last night alone. It's not much fun, but it is what it is.

You have my sympathy and support.

Yeah, same here. 3 or 4 hours at most on one run. A nights sleep is almost allways two parts with an hour in between. Every now and then i will sleep longer...massively longer! I have on occasion slept for 24 hours straight. It doesn't happen very often. Maybe once every 6 months. Its a weird thing to wake up and be disoriented as to why its still dark and the same time on the clock as when i went to bed...

I think I found a solution to getting a full nights sleep!

Get out of dodge for a weekend and don't watch the news!

I got back from my trip yesterday and it's amazing! I actually slept great since thursday night! I kept a limited eye on the news but tucked away all the anxiety in the back of my mind and just went out and enjoyed the weekend!

Before my trip....I haven't had a full nights sleep since before the election.

All this fear and anxiety is not good for our health! and those charbroils don't sound so healthy either!

    hope you feel better, Glock!

    Hey GNut,

That wasn't a dream or nightmare, that was stark reality.  It actually is a real good analogy of how things occur.

Example: We in America have thought and felt we were free. (Numbed by apathy) In the last 100 days, we have seen how perilously close we are to loosing our freedom and how close we are to living in tyranny. If things don't change significantly before the 2012 elections, we are hosed. We MUST take control back in 2010 and vote out every incumbent and vote in Center-Right representatives in both houses.

We are about 30 years behind the eight ball and hopefully we can overcome this dreadnought of Socialism.

It's amazing in this day & age what brings us out of a deep sleep. In the old days, watching a Zombie killing babies movie right before bedtime pretty much guaranteed a night of really bad nightmares.

In today's world of current affairs, all one has to do is turn on their TV, radio, or computer.

Last night, I watched a news story where the Taliban are currently invading Pakistan (a Nuclear power ). Next, seeing people in Mexico wearing dust masks due to a new strain of Swine flu, & hearing about the death of 100+ because of it. Hearing that children from the U.S. who contacted the flu while down in Mexico on Spring break.

This morning, while watching "The View", hearing Dr. Oz telling people "to prepare.... in case the CDC says tomorrow that 'your kids can't go to school', or 'you can't go to work." Right after that seeing a news report that there's no vacine for the swine flu, only medication in case you contract it. United States declared a state of public health emergency amidst rising concern about the swine flu virus.

Later, on the radio, hearing talks of Isreal being "a two bomb city", referring to how many nuks Iran would need to kill 6 million Jews, & compairing Iran's president to Hitler as he (Adolf) killed as many Jews during WWII. BTW - Iran is minutes away from becoming a nuclear power.

The list goes on & on....

You are having nightmares for a reason.

    Prayers sent Mike.
I know the feeling. I went to bed at about 4:30 this morning after taking a sleeping pill (ambien). I was up at 6:30. Some nights I don't sleep at all, if I'm lucky I'll catch an hour or two in the afternoon.

I use to never dream, at least I would never remember my dreams.
I used the patch to quit smoking and I've never been the same since. That was 3 years ago. I now have dreams that seem like real life. Very, very vivid dreams. At least, thankfully few are nightmares. I don't have a night where I'm not leading a second life behind closed eyes. It gets old after a while.

reading some of these replies before bedtime might be bad...:D

Yeah, i think news before bedtime is no longer a good thing. I don't want to stick my head in the sand but i think a little less of it might be productive.

I was sitting there during luch watching something about the military flying a jet thru downtown new york taking pictures? Huh? So i sat there for a good half hour thinking someone in the military or government needs their head examined...irritated about it. What a dumb thing to freak out people in NYC like that...
Too many bone headed things going on these days.

Ya, airforce 1 acting like a terrorist, nice. WTF, over?

Your dreams aren't too far off from what I dream about the current situation in America.

That was just a defense department plane getting photo'ed above the Statue of Liberty. Scared a bunch of folks near ground zero who ran into the street. The media pointed out that that plane was actually called "Air Force One" if Pres Obama would have been on board.

We just have to laugh so we don't cry.
