I did the BBQ job in 1981 on this ca. 1910 .38-40 & later bought the holster from a man who said he made it from buffalo hide. Ivory I had carved in Africa in1951, DIY décor later ----->
I bought it 1981 for $300 with little finish but fine bore, the day I drove out of NY for the last time. Bach home in OK I did the engraving, 2nd gun I engraved, did the nickel & put on ivory I got carved in Africa in 1951, did the grip decor couple years after ---->
That's really gorgeous! You sir are a craftsman as well as an artist. I hope you have some family to pass it down to who appreciate the work that went into that. Wow!!
