John, thank you for your service and welcome from the backwoods of the Missouri Ozarks!! My P-38 is cyq stamped but my carbine is an Inland. I have a good friend who collects M-1 carbines and has examples from all 10....or was it 11....makers of the piece. He finally acquired the most rare one a couple years ago.

If ol' Buckr' was still here, he'd say thanks and welcome also...

Greetings John from an old retired navy Seabee Chief...Thank You for your long, dedicated
service to this big wonderful country...Dang John, things are around and about in this land
of the brave as I never recall in my almost 87 years..I've been gone from the construction
forces since the waning days of Vietnam..Did 2 tours with E-9 as a bait for my third but I
had a raft of kids to raise so I left in early 71...WOW.... John, I have to admit raiding the Army's
supply yards many time to keep that rousing reputation of the Seabees intact...Lumber
and cement were lots of times by the truckload....The Marines were our best customers
and they provided trading gear like combat boots and poncho liners...a special footlocker
was good for a 20 pound tin of coffee to brew...Best Regards, Chief
