a friend of mines father just gave him a, i h conklin. the info he gave to me for you guys is its a 29" barrel, .35 cal with a remington lock. and he said its a halfstock? please any info at all is more than welcome. thanks guys for a great site.

Lots of missing info that good photos could supply:

"Half stock" usually refers to a sporting percussion rifle, is that what he has?

Conklin was probably not a well known or prolific maker or google would turn up an example or two. He might even be contemporary.

Remington made barrels and are said to have imported locks marked with their name, or it could be a gun made up in modern years using a sidelock from a Remington breechloading shotgun.

ya i havent even seen the gun, just wondering of someone knows the maker and may have some imput, sounds to me like a butchered flintlock?
