Has anyone used Trailboss powder for 9mm or 40cal with cast bullets?
I have wanted too, but cannot find any suitable data for it...
I have not tried it, but the guy who owns the local gun shop has recommended it to me. He loads just about every pistol caliber and sells the reloads in his shop. I still have other powders that I use and when I run close to empty, I might try it.
It cant be all too dangerous. I hear its near impossible to overload a case with trailboss. Yet Im still afraid to attempt firearms destruction...
Not made for semi auto handguns. Probably will not be able to operate the slide. Need heavier bullets and that takes up room in the case for powder.
Call or e-mail them (manufacturer) for info.
Great for cowboy shooting with the 45LC in a revolver.
Not necessarily DWARREN, I have data, and regularly use it in my .45ACP loads. its a great clean burning target powder. You can get data for it at the hodgdon data center. It doesnt list any for the 2 cartridges in question though...
