We read this in church this morning
    It made me look inward

A Psalm of praise.} Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.

Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Know ye that the LORD he is God: it ishe that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

For the LORD is good; his mercy iseverlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

    Amen.

    Psalm 100.

Here it is being sung to the tune "Old 100th".

Someone has put the KJV words to music. I'll have to try to find a good recording of that.

Everyday I get to see my daughter and my wife. I get to wake up and see the world and rejoice that God is still with me. An I thankful? Yes, and I'm so much more!

But even above our blessings on earth , that our God forgave us our sins and made a way for us to be with Him for eternity

Yes in addition to all the creature comforts and family and friends, I am especially thankful for this...

After nearly 11 years of borrowed time on dialysis, I am very thankful for this technology that allowed me to be an integral part of my grandkids lives.

The Lord is good and ever merciful.

God continue to bless you Alaska.

Thankful? In my prayers I tell God I don't have the words to express how thankful I am...because I don't. He has given me everything good in my life. I thank Him profusely but it is inadequate for what He has given us, salvation. I believe the best way to show thanks is in the life I/we lead and the example we set. Both of which I continue to fail miserably.

And take comfort that the Holy Spirit turns our intelligible thoughts in to praises unto the Lord.

This time of the year, Thanksgiving season is the last holiday that I can embrace without all of the commmercialism and worldly hijacking like they have done to Christmas and Resurrection Day

I wanted to start a couple of weeks early this year and the Lord spoke to me in chruch through the reading of His word that I need to put aside all of the toys and distractions I have and think on His blessings on my life.
Even while I am experiancing the best health and fitness I've had in 20 years, my dad is dying in a nursing home. I want to live, and live strong for him and for my family. To be a leader in my home and church. To have a postive influence in others lives and to express to everyone how much the Lord has done for me

This is a burden on my heart guys. Call it what you want, but I am pretty sure its what I am supposed to do.

That is an obligation for the head of every household.

Sorry to hear about your dad. Praying the Lord strengthens you in these trying times.

Every day I realize how blessed I have been. Not a church going man, but a believer none the less.

Thanks DB for giving me something to think about. I try to begin the morning giving thanks and praise, but often get distracted and preoccupied with the day at hand. This morning there was a beautiful sky at daybreak and that prompted me to prayer.

I'll say a prayer for you, your Dad and family now.
