Anyone know why an Astra 357 rev in very good overall condition, operates perfectly well when empty, but will not cock the action when 5 or 6 rds are loaded into the chamber.Have removed side plate & oiled all works.have removed cylinder axis rod ,checked for burrs etc & oiled, doesn`t seem be anything out of alignment.Any ideas as to where I go now.apart from swearing a bit.

Don't know. But if it were mine there are a couple of things I would check first. First check and see if the ejector rod is screwed all the way in. Check all cyoinders and see if there is anything preventing one of the shells from seating. The normal curse of a problem such as this is that the cartridges , for whar ever reason , are binding of the recoil shield.
