Aztec International currently has a short time internet special on M91/30s, M1938, and M44 Mosin Nagants - arsenal refinished like new, with dog collar sling, oiler and double pouch, plus the 91/30s come with a bayonet serial numbered to the gun - $79.95 each, or five or more for $69.95 each. Last time I got some of these Aztec guns was from SOG or AIM at $119.95 each!

Ran home at lunch time yesterday and met the BBT. Got two big ol' cartons - 5 M91/30s, and 5 M1938s. Didn't have much time, so I hauled them in, and pulled out one of each for a quick looksie.

The M91/30 was all matching - original numbers. No electropencil or cross outs. 1943 Tula. Stock has the dip laquer, but looked good on first examination - several markings I will need to look at closer.

The M1938 was matching, but the floor plate and bolt are electro-pencil matched. The stock was very dark colored and lacquered, but it is an original M1938 stock, not a M44 replacement. 1942 Izzy.

Later last night I unpacked all of them:

    M91/30s

#NY2922, 1940 Izzy, all stamp Nos., matching
#NB249, 1943 Izzy, all stamp nos., matching
#37120, 1938 Izzy, all stamp nos., matching
#TB4062, 1942 Izzy, floor plate number crossed out and restamped, all rest numbers original & matching
#152390, 1943 Tula, Butt plate reground and stamped, all numbers matching.

    M1938s

#ER7159, Izzy 1942, bolt & floor plate electropencil numbered to gun, butt plate blank. Original 1938 stock, no bayo groove, and no short groves right behind rear barrel band on both sides of stock.
#NY5490, Izzy 1944, butt plate cross out and restamped, stock same as above.
#KO3255, Izzy 1943, butt plate cross out and restamped, stock same as above.
#NP3206, Izzy 1943, mag floor plate & butt plate cross out and restamp, stock same as above.
#NE4725, Izzy 1944, bolt & floor plate electropenciled to gun, butt plate blank. Stock does not have bayonet groove, but has the two short side grooves on each side of the stock right behind rear barrel band.

Accessories are all like new dog collar slings, nice dark brown pebble grain leather double mag pouch, and several different types of oiler bottles with different guns. All of the 91/30s have bayonets serial numbered to gun.

Excellent deal all around - all excellent condition!

Today I should be receiving 10 of the M44 rifles, and by Friday I should have 10 more of the 91/30s coming in. Heck, I am taking advantage of this deal to flesh out my collection!

    M44 carbines:

    #EB545, Tula 1944 - all matching
    #MP8399, Izzy 1944 - all matching
    #CB5424, Izzy 1945 - all matching
    #AY8859, Izzy 1944 - all matching
    #OH5565, Izzy 1944 - all matching
    #NY7975, Izzy 1944 - all matching
    #NY6360, Izzy 1944 - all matching
#OT3689, Izzy 1944 - floor plate & butt force match stamped
#BW9624, Izzy 1944 - floor plate & butt force match stamped
#HN4845, Izzy 1943 - floor plate & bolt electropencil match

All war years, a nice Tula in the bunch, and a 1943! Too bad it is electropencil matched, but a 1943 dated Model 1944 is a fine catch! Again, fine accessories.
