JUST got an M9 Beretta 9mm tonight. Love it. Great gun. Nice. BUT, I actually stood in the store for an hour debating between 92 and M9. The grips on 92 feel a little more solid in my hand thant he M9. I think it's because the area below the beaver tail is a little deeper on the M9. This was the one tradeoff but ultimately I went with the M9 because I figured the grips could be adapted and even as is they are not bad, just not as good.

My question: How can you adapt your grips on the back end of a beretta? (or can the grips be widened?)

Well, I'm not too crazy about rubber or the finger holding grooves. I was hoping for a plastic (factory?) that wraps around the back and fills in that extra space below the beavertail

I thought the 92 was the civilian version of the M-9 except for the sights, dust cover and back straps
