My wife carries a Firestorm 380 (same as a Bersa Thunder 380). It is very accurate, and she is quite comfortable carrying it. If your .40 is anything like my wife's 380, you'll like it.
Haven't owned one in .40, but have had both the .22 and the .380 (x2) and don't have a single complaint. I found them to be accurate, dependable and not the least bit picky about ammo. I think you made a good buy!
