What is the best .308 round to shot for targets? Does anyone have an opinion on tul ammo brand .308, heard they were hit and miss as far as all of them firing. Thanks for any input.

It depends on what your particular firearm likes. Every firearm is different, what shoots well in mine may have terrible grouping in yours. So try ammo from different manufacturers and see what works best for you.

its a remington 700 tactical, 20 inch heavy barrel

You should see some good accuracy with 168grain match grade ammo. I see no logic shooting Tula ammo through a rifle designed for precision, leave the Russian ammo for the Russian guns, if you must feed a precision rifle junk ammo, then sell the gun and go buy a lower grade firearm designed to shoot marginally accurate, and show little care.
